She replaces Ai Miyazato of Japan, who held the top spot for just one week. McDowell's first major championship gives him a five-year exemption, if he decides to join. McDowell, who has a home in Orlando said he doesn't plan to "turn my back" on the European Tour. A player must compete in 15 PGA Tour events to retain his fully-exempt membership. McDowell has already played seven events on the PGA TOUR in 2010. 6/30 - The Atlanta Athletic Club has been selected to host the 2014 U.S. Amateur. It will be the sixth time the USGA has brought one of its tournaments to Atlanta Athletic Club, home course of Bobby Jones. Police say 51-year-old Rey Francisco Rivera Marrero led a group of five assailants who broke into Rodriguez's apartment on May 19th. They tied up Rodriguez and his wife and stole cash and jewelry worth $500,000. Rodriguez and his wife were not injured. 6/8 - Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sorenstam, want to build the course in Brazil where the Olympics will be played in 2016. Nicklaus said he and Sorenstam have written to the International Golf Federation requesting they be considered as architects of the first Olympic golf course since 1904. The Canadian Women's Open will move next year to the Hillsdale Golf and Country Club in Mirabel, Quebec. The tournament will be held Aug. 25-28, with an expected purse of $2.25 million.
